I have searched my memory and cannot recall ever reading or hearing about a crash involving Nepal Airlines, and now I know why. Officials at Nepal’s state-run airline have sacrificed two goats to appease Akash Bhairab, the Hindu sky god, following technical problems with one of its Boeing 757 aircraft, the carrier said Tuesday. “The snag in the plane has now been fixed and the aircraft has resumed its flights,” said Raju K.C., a senior airline official, without explaining what the problem had been. Don’t you know the passengers were relieved that there was no long delay.
Just think of how much money the airline industry wastes every year on repairs. If Southwest, Delta and the other major carriers would forget the maintenence and follow Nepal’s procedure (which obviously works), imagine how far fares would drop. Atlanta to New York $29.00, now that’s progress.

Would never work, Dragon.
“We’re sorry for the delay but all of the goats for this flight are stuck at our hub in Atlanta. They are the new goats.” “New goats?” “Yes, sir. The goats we were supposed to have were bar-b-qued on our Mexico City to San Antonio flight. Sorry for the problem, please have a seat. A Jet Blue airport Hyatt shuttle will be here in 16 hours. uh, those peanuts are $15.00, sir.”
